PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is seeking a skilled Air Vehicle Systems Design Engineer for the FLRAA program in Fort Worth, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the design and development of critical subsystems for advanced air vehicle technologies. You’ll focus on creating structural designs, model-based definitions, and engineering data for subsystems such as Environmental Controls, Fuel, Hydraulics, and Mechanical Controls, contributing to the completion and certification of the aircraft.
As a key member of the team, you'll collaborate with engineers across disciplines to solve complex problems, mentor junior engineers, and ensure tasks are executed on time and within budget. The role requires expertise in CATIA V5/V6, GD&T, and a strong understanding of aerospace design principles.
Responsibilities:
Develop airframe structural designs and model-based definitions (2D/3D) for airframe components and subsystems.
Lead design activities and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and specialty teams to resolve issues.
Mentor team members and drive technical solutions to meet program goals.
Ensure designs meet cost and schedule requirements and support supplier design activities.
Required Skills & Experience:
At least 5 years of aerospace design or related industry experience.
Proficiency with CATIA V5/V6, GD&T, and general part sizing.
Strong communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Pay: $70.00 - $100.00 per hour
Location: Onsite in Fort Worth, TX
Schedule: 1st Shift, 9x80 schedule
Duration: Full-time, temp-to-hire (12 months)
