ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the daily activities of the Manufacturing operation.
- Enforce Company policy and procedural manual, AS 9100, PMA’s, STC’s, TSO and Manufacturing Rework Manuals consistent with guidelines commensurate with corporate policy and management philosophy.
- Schedule and supervise managers, timecard employees, and production activities to meet production requirements for sales requirements and finished goods inventory.
- Verify and control the use of only approved materials, parts, components and appliances assuring company quality standards are met.
- Ensure all parts released to service are airworthy and meet design approval for installation on certified aircraft I.A.W. FAR part 21, Subpart K, 21.303.
- Ensure current, updated drawings, shop manuals, technical data and processing procedures are accessible to all production employees.
- Develop strategic and tactical planning to meet production, R & D and special requirements outlining action to be taken, materials required and the human resources needed to meet objectives.
- Responsible for hiring and training of all production employees to promote development consistent with Company polices including but not limited to equal employment and affirmative action.
- Establishing and communicating objectives to production employees to quickly and accurately measure his/her performance relative to predetermined standards of quality work performance.
- Ensure inspection records, documentation and reports are maintained as required by FAR 21, Subpart K, 21.303 (k) (9) and as needed for daily operations and per Management requests.
- Maintain functional relationships with Quality Assurance, Purchasing, Engineering, Accounting, and Sales on a daily basis to ensure orderly flow of business, including the execution of special projects and support of R & D as required.
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas and actively promote employee safety throughout the various operations in the plant.
- Ensure and oversee in conjunction with Engineering the procurement of necessary tooling, materials, components and appliances pertinent to operation are satisfactorily maintained.
- Maintain plant security to ensure Company assets are protected.
- Maintain a clean an orderly finished goods inventory.
- Promote and instill accuracy of data entry for all inventoried items.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and direct Manufacturing activities. Supervise and direct employees to perform assigned duties consistent with Company guidelines.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or closely related field, and one to three years of managerial experience. Equivalent combination of education and/or experience is acceptable.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge and ability to determine necessary corporate objectives and departmental procedures.

Ability to handle technical and manufacturing inquiries from customers. Ability to meet established goals and quotas. Ability to rationalize and formulate schedules consistent with Company objectives. Ability to plan, organize and institute changes necessary for maximizing efficiency of production to promote Company growth. Competent in computer skills, i.e. Excel and Word.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and understand English. Must be able to simultaneously receive multiple instructions and accurately implement the same.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts of basic accounting.
