Aerospace Manufacturing Sales Manager (2 Years Experience REQUIRED)
Role & Responsibilities:
Collins Custom Manufacturing is a Fort Worth based aerospace and prototype manufacturing business looking for a top-performing Sales professional to add to our growing team. This is a base plus commision/bonus position. Must have working knowledge of manufacturing.
This person will be responsible for following through on all sales leads, managing those leads into specific customer growth opportunities and driving those opportunities into actual sales wins, resulting in revenue growth for the business.
- Demonstrate an understanding of our capabilities and how to position those capabilities to new and existing customers
- Create an action plan for assigned customers to achieve market penetration, sales growth and profitability
- Identify Market information for existing and former customers. Develop tactics to achieve targeted growth of the assigned accounts.
- Work with leadership on existing customers to grow our opportunity pipeline
- Penetrate fully new defense customers who can contribute to our ambitious growth goals.
- Craft strong relationships with complex customer project teams and various management levels
- Forge new relationships with the cross functional organizations at potential customers.
- Display intimate knowledge of A&D customers and complete a market analysis and assessment of competitive landscape
- Directly engage with customers to win incremental business through active business development, including establishment of strong relationships within senior management levels.
- Work closely with customer's project teams to ensure all requirements, specifications, and information are collected and clearly communicated internally.
- Partner with Estimating, Purchasing, and Operations Management on customer estimate timelines and expectations.
- Manage the preparation of formal quotation packages to be sent to customers to maximize profitable revenue growth.
- Partner with Estimating to negotiate all commercial topics including freight terms, legal requirements, payment terms, etc.
- Respond when necessary to special customer needs or complaints with professionalism and integrity, knowing requirements may change and require adaptability.
- Utilize internal customer relationship management software daily to provide transparency on all opportunities, wins, and losses to colleagues and management.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; includes the ability to develop and present proposals to customers.
- Understanding of financial analysis
- Excellent math and reasoning skills with the ability to read and interpret complex documents
- Fluently speak, read, and write in English
Qualifications:
2+ years proven successful track record generating sales in the A&D space
Data Analysis: Ability to analyze financial metrics and extrapolate a practical solutions and recommendations.
Negotiation: Ability to communicate and deliver a value proposition; broker relevant deals and deliver a win-win solution for the business and the customer.
Project Management: The ability to manage your task flow and complete assignments on time and fully utilize customer relationship software to provide transparency on status of new and existing business. Understands the demands of competing priorities and the importance of organizational skills to be highly effective. Comfortable with shifting priorities and displays adaptability and positive attitude.
Communication: Deliver written and oral communications effectively and comfortable presenting to small and large groups.
Travel: Willingness and ability to travel, this may include seminars, trade shows, some overnight travel may be required throughout the year.
Customer focused: Demonstrates through action, that customers are the highest priority. Anticipates and delivers to customer expectations with integrity and a sense of urgency. Strives to beat customer expectations by delivering information sooner than expected.
