Purpose of Role:
The Fleet Manager position provides general oversight, planning and maintenance control for assigned aircraft. Responsibilities include upkeep of aircraft records, maintenance planning, oversight/coordinating AOG events, detailed knowledge of assigned aircraft programs, maintenance tracking, coordination with scheduling, overseeing service center visits and annual budgets. Adheres and promotes the Pacific Coast Jet’s Vision, Mission, and Values daily.
Key Safety Responsibilities:
- · Upkeep and auditing of assigned aircraft records. Logbooks and CAMP status kept consistent with company policies and procedures.
· Planning future scheduled maintenance events and building work packages consistent with company goals for downtime and overlap of fleet type.
· Research, maintain data, and monitor trends concerning aircraft maintenance, labor hours, span time, and other requirements.
· Coordinate planned engine removals with maintenance providers and engine and APU repair vendors.
· Manage all aspects of AOG events. Location of approved vendor, work progress, supply parts, updates in Jet Insight and RTS.
· Create work schedules in the electronic maintenance tracking program and Jet Insight.
· Ensure to make on time decisions for schedule changes to resolve conflicts among maintenance and daily operations schedule.
· Route aircraft based on maintenance and operational requirements while maintaining the schedule reliability of the fleet.
· Coordinate with PCJ Ops and aircraft owners regarding cost, downtime, and maintenance event schedule.
· Prepare and conduct weekly MX Planning Meeting as scheduled.
· Track and coordinate all maintenance deferrals. Coordinate with PCJ maintenance department to clear active deferrals. If known parts are needed, work with Parts Department to ensure parts have been ordered and are available when needed.
· Issue and distribute the work instruction documents to the appropriate maintenance organization.
· Ensure parts have been ordered and will be in place prior to the event’s start date.
· Coordinate with maintenance personnel ensuring all issues are resolved.
· Provide timely updates as required for all events in progress.
· Verify creation and validity of times and cycle entries in the electronic maintenance tracking program.
· Have detailed knowledge of each assigned aircraft special programs. Pro Parts, JSSI, new aircraft warranty, etc.
· Supervise scheduled maintenance events throughout entire life cycle (start to finish).
· Ensure accuracy in maintenance paperwork and throughout the RTS process.
· Ensure entire FAA regulations along with guidelines are enforced.
· Coordinate with AP regarding invoices related to work orders.
· Track maintenance work in progress and any associated labor hours.
· Create a detailed turnover for the on-call Fleet Manager.
· Responsible for creating annual maintenance budgets for each assigned aircraft.
· May be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays
· Other duties as assigned by the DOM.
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Airframe and Powerplant license.
· Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
· Ability to multi-task and actively plan ahead.
· Creative thinking, problem solving, and sharing the solutions throughout the organization.
· Excellent written and verbal communication.
· Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call at times.

· Intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching and prolonged periods of sitting.
· Ability to occasionally lift 20 pounds vertically through 4 feet and maneuver that load at arm’s length.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
