Business Development Manager
Reports To
Regional Manager (North Asia and North Amercia)
Role Purpose
Primarily provide support to the Regional Manager North Asia and North America in developing and implementing annual revenue budget and sales strategy for the region as well as defining the best way to maximise revenue with minimum costs
Key Accountability
- Manage both existing sales pipeline and the development of new business opportunities.
- Take a lead role in developing new-business proposals and presentations that create and nurture opportunities and partnerships.
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs, monitor market trends and develop short/medium/long term strategies to retain commercial initiatives and remain on target to achieve the commercial objectives.
- Contacting potential clients to establish a business relationship and arrange meetings.
- Increase the value of current customers while sourcing for new channels and methods to improve sales.
- Assist in coordination and implementation of marketing activities in Japan
- Co-ordinate the filings according to government requirements
- Lead and coach the team in terms of business discussions, sales and negotiation skills to win new business opportunities.
- Sales Planning, Analytics and Reports:
- Work closely with Country/Regional Manager for sales initiatives and agency incentive schemes planning
- Assist Country/Regional Manager for POS & Regional sales tracking reports, market share reports and agency performance reports
Qualification & Experience
- Degree or equivalent in Business/Commerce or related field.
- Any additional training or certifications would be an added value
- At least 5 years of working experience as Sales Management / Consultancy and advisory environment
Areas of Experience
- Successful track record with proven ability in the sales process from planning, organizing, leading to controlling
- Experience in sales techniques including but not limited to excellent skills in communication, presentation and negotiation
- Knowledge of data analysis and report writing
- Strong business sense, and able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of airlines industry

- Creative, attention to details and pride in high quality execution of work
- A good team player and able to work under pressure
