Pacific Coast Avionics is a small business who specializes in installing new avionic systems in general aviation aircraft. Compliance is very important for what we do and requires great attention to detail and willingness to learn. Training will be provided as necessary.
The main function of this position is to aid the Repair Station Manager with administrative record keeping and ordering supplies for the shop and installs. There is lots to learn as this is a diverse role with lots of opportunity for growth!
Job duties included but not limited to:
- PCA work order packet for records
- verify Weight & Balance of aircraft
- write Form FAA 337 – Major Repair & Alteration
- Log Book Entries
- Invoice Work Order Package
- Verification of Purchase Order for installation
- Maintain technician training records & training schedule
- Maintain & revise Repair Station Roster/Job Summaries
- Maintain job hours using TimeTrex
- The position uses independent judgment, applies strong and positive interpersonal interaction.
- Handles inquiries, problem resolution, order entry, credit issues and Aircraft On Ground (AOG) support.
- Assists Avionics Manager with quoting price and availability of repairs, overhauls, customer updates, etc.
- Responsible for ensuring that purchase order requirements, including delivery schedules, are accomplished.
- Maintains current customer files and archive files and correspondence greater than one year old.
- Work with or coordinate cross-functional departments in customer issue resolution.
- Performs job duties in accordance with approved procedures established in accordance with FAA regulations.
- Responsible for working in a manner consistent with established safety rules and regulations and the use and maintenance of needed personal protective equipment; including, but not limited to safety glasses, etc.
Job Requirements: Preferred Skills / Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience/education in aviation field preferred but not required
- Strong PC skills including, but not limited to, MS Word, Excel and QuickBooks.
- Strong ability to handle multiple priorities including managing face to face communications while also using phone and email communication.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Strong problem-solving skills using appropriate judgment.
- Knowledge of and desire to learn and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
Additional Information :
- Due to the nature of the work preformed the FAA required all individuals be drug tested upon employment.
