What we do:
We manage a flight school with an accelerated airline pilot training course. Just at this location we operate about 20 airplanes and have hundred of pilots in training, and flight instructors and maintenance personnel.
Overview:
Sling Pilot Academy’s Operations Supervisor will play a vital role in ensuring the school’s policies and values are carried over to each location. This role requires an individual who is able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining constant communication with the Flight Operations Director and other departments.
Training:
After completing three to four weeks of training at our Torrance-based headquarters, the Operations Supervisor will then be responsible for monitoring their location’s operational efficiency, communication, quality of training, and, most importantly, achieving the highest level of safety possible.
For this role, we’re looking for an experienced individual with a strong background in fast-paced work environments that heavily rely on communication. Preferred candidates will also have experience working as the manager of a team or project. The job will entail an ever-changing schedule with last-minute additions and cancellations – self-organization is critical for this position. You will excel in delivering exceptional customer service and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities for this role include but not limited to:
- Ensuring all students and employees comply with all company SOPs
- Monitoring the location’s schedule to maximize flight time
- Communicating location needs with the Facilities Manager
- Continuing to build Sling Pilot Academy’s open and friendly community-oriented atmosphere
- Assisting in developing the Flight Operations Department and company SOPs
- Clarifying procedures and rules with the Flight Operations Director and/or Chief Instructors
- Administrative Tasks: Data entry, answering phones/emails, customer service, and document adherence
- Customer tours
- Hire, train and onboard new team members
- Responsible for ensuring working area is kept clean and well-maintained.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Managerial experience at least 2 years+
Customer service at least 1 year+
A confident, engaging, and positive personality is crucial.
Experience in management and leadership is required.
Sales experience is a plus.
A passion for organization and attention to detail is essential.
Proficient in Microsoft Suites, Dropbox, and Windows PC
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,565.00 - $70,000.00 per year
