National Aviation Services is seeking a full-time Station Manager at our Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport location in Baltimore, MD. Applicant must have previous Manager, Janitorial, and/or Aircraft experience.

SUMMARY:
The Station Manager is responsible for all on-site location staff, including Interior Aircraft Cleaners, Building Maintenance Cleaners, Leads, and Supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the location staff including Interior Aircraft Cleaners, Exterior Aircraft Cleaners, Building Maintenance staff, Leads, and Supervisors. This includes keeping staffing at proper levels, including interviewing and sending in the new hire paperwork, as well as completing and ensuring that all head office required daily, weekly and monthly paperwork is faxed, e-mailed or texted in a timely manner.

Responsible for maintaining trained Interior Aircraft Cleaners, Exterior Aircraft Cleaners, Building Maintenance staff, Leads, and Supervisors. The Station Manager will be responsible for the new hire training and is responsible for ongoing training and all NAS and client recurrent training classes. Ensures that all employees, including themselves, have clearly written safety and health responsibilities included within their job description, with appropriate authority to carry out those responsibilities.

Responsible for ensuring that all employees receive yearly performance evaluations that include a written evaluation of the accomplishment of assigned responsibilities; Safe work practices and performance of any function are essential to the efficiency of the location.

Excellent communication skills are mandatory with the NAS Director, Station Management, Customer Management, and NAS Corporate Staff; Communication is a must and cannot be violated. Communication plays a very high role in this position.

The NAS Station Manager is responsible for the monitoring of productivity and meeting all required NAS and Customer standards for all provided services. The Station Manager must be able to use the Customer training system to compile necessary training and reports and have a strong knowledge of the Customer’s Operations.

Maintains correct and daily scheduling of the interior and exterior aircraft cleaning and the building maintenance operation; maintaining a list of all employees is mandatory at all times. The station scheduled must be added to the NAS Library on the assigned station page and updated weekly.

Maintains and adheres to budget for location by utilizing the NAS Daily Report sent out by finance daily.

It is the responsibility of the Station Manger to ensure that all employees receive training for their Airport I.D. and airport driving license within 3 days of employment.

Must complete all required daily reports, aircraft reports, daily timesheets, task work completion lists, etc.

Responsible for monitoring and ordering all NAS and Customer cleaning supplies, mechanics parts, uniforms, vests, etc.; Must have a firm knowledge of the products and supplies, as well as the amount to keep in stock; Must have a firm knowledge on confirming and signing purchased orders; Must ensure the NAS corporate support staff gets the correct order forms and that the customer’s order forms are correct and forwarded to the assigned person or department.

A firm knowledge and enforcement of all the NAS Company policies and procedures, as well as all of the NAS Safety and Security policies and procedures is required and mandatory. Dictation of, adherence to and following of each procedure is required/

A firm and clear knowledge of the entire operation including scheduling, GSE, safety, supplies, and employee relations is a must.

Familiarity of the entire customer fleet with a thorough knowledge of all functions of all Aircraft and Building Maintenance is a must; Knowledge of different Aircraft types is necessary.

Re-enforcing and maintaining the upkeep and the use of all I.T equipment is mandatory. Communicating in writing via email must be utilized whenever possible.

Must update the computers and the posted schedules as they change.

Ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the entire facility, including the stock room, GSE and all equipment.

Audit the aircraft daily to ensure the quality of the provided service by utilizing the Springshot program. Each station has a required amount of Springshot audits and searches that must be completed on a daily basis. Adherence to this requirement is mandatory.

Audit the Building Maintenance daily to ensure the quality of the provided service by utilizing the Springshot program. Each station has a required number of Springshot audits that must be completed on a daily basis. Adherence to this requirement is mandatory.

Monitor and ensure the productivity and quality of the Operations Leads and Supervisors, as the Station Manager is 100% responsible for their performance. Make sure they follow their job descriptions and all standards are met.

Covering all new requests for service is the ultimate method of utilizing staffing to ensure a higher profit margin for the operation. The sign-off process must be followed prior to any new service being started. All requests for additional service must be approved by the NAS Director and the NAS Corporate Office.

All problems, complaints, GSE breakdowns and other issues that arise are the responsibility of the Station Manager. You must communicate with the NAS Director and Human Resources for input before making a final decision – Terminations are prohibited without approval from HR.

NAS Station Manager is responsible for providing the quality of service up to company standards for all provided services. It is imperative that prior to any agent being placed on a shift, they are trained on what is expected of them. All training must be recorded, and an up-to-date training file must be created.

Must monitor the cleanliness and required attire of all staff, including the supervisory team, and conducting occasional spot checks on attire.

NAS Station Managers will be responsible for the complete operation24/7.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

Three years of related management experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
