Position: Senior Finance Accounting Manager - Aviation Engine Maintenance

Within this Global network, MTU Maintenance Dallas provides hospital shop and on-site maintenance services.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Finance Accounting Manager to join our finance team within the aviation engine maintenance industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk. This role also involves enhancing the accuracy of the company's reported financial results and ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS specific to the aviation industry.
· Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
· Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors.
· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, including aviation-specific regulations.
· Manage the accounting team and oversee daily operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll, with a focus on aviation-related transactions.
· Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets, particularly high-value inventory, and equipment.
· Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures specific to aviation engine maintenance.
· Utilize QuickBooks for efficient management of financial transactions and reporting.
· Oversee payroll processing using ADP to ensure accuracy and compliance.
· Provide financial analysis and decision support to senior management, with insights into aviation maintenance cost structures and revenue streams.
· Prepare budgets and financial forecasts, including detailed analysis of maintenance contracts and engine overhauls.
· Conduct financial modeling and variance analysis to support business decisions within the aviation sector.
· Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
· Identify training needs and opportunities for staff development, particularly in aviation finance.
Qualifications:· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.· Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role within the aviation or aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) with experience in aviation-specific modules.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $117,000.00 - $128,485.00 per year
