Job Description
Grand Sky Airfield Operations LLC is seeking a full-time flight operations project manager to contribute to expanding missions at Grand Forks Air Force Base, Emerado. This position will control daily flight operations, manage and train a cadre of pilots, use new and emerging technologies to develop turnkey Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) & Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (cUAS) solutions, preform mapping and GIS analytics, analyze weather conditions and products, monitor Beyond Visual Line Of Sight (BVLOS) system continuity, research and respond to sUAS program Request For Proposals (RFPs), and work alongside diverse partners to create safe and sustainable sUAS waivers. The ideal candidate maintains a robust knowledge of 14 CFR Part 107 and is self-driven to learn more about emerging technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Plan, coordinate, and fly diverse sUAS missions in complex environments
· Preform data logging and maintenance for non-COTs sUAS and GCS hardware
· Act as Visual & Electronic Observer (VO/EO) for multicrew missions
· Transport and handle sUAS equipment to offsite locations (> 50 lbs)
· Generate 3D orthomosaics and mapping products
· Read and interpret weather related products to make tactical decisions
· Generate and distribute test cards for new technologies and programs
· Maintain SP&Ps and training documents
· Test and refine HMIs
· Develop and test use cases for sUAS/cUAS
· Foster a positive UAS ecosystem through networking
· Read, understand, and draft technical documents in related fields
· Ensure safe operations and regulatory compliance at all levels of operations
Desired Skills
· Possess a degree in Aviation Sciences, Aerospace Engineering, Meteorology, or Geospatial Analysis
· Current P107 Certificate (Commercial, CFI, and 2nd Class medical are desired)
· 25+ logged flight hours on sUAS
· Robust knowledge of 14 CFR Part 107 and the FAA waiver process
· Experience with assembly, maintenance, and design of sUAS
· Working understanding of aviation related weather products
· Experience or formal education in Crew Resource Management (CRM)
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Familiarity with Pix4D, Mission Planner, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office products
· Experience with thermal sensors
· Required: US Citizenship

Pay: $51,780.07 - $62,358.80 per year
