Position Summary:
The Project Manager performs customer coordination, customer contact, and complete job planning / coordination. In addition, this position will assist in supporting the service department’s floor supervisors and managers to coordinate and direct the activities of employees for assigned single and multi-departmental projects. These projects will include: working with customers and vendors, assisting sales, supporting scheduled projects, support planning for maintenance, avionics, interior, paint, and modifications for assigned projects, and meeting customer expectations for communication, billing, and coordination.
.Position Responsibilities:
1.Supports efficient Shop Floor operations by setting the priorities and monitoring the performance of assigned projects and activities in coordination with the Shop Floor Supervisors. This includes: reviewing assigned projects daily, identifying training & skill set requirements, scheduling processes. Works with shop managers and Chief Inspector to ensure project materials and requirements are identified and sourced for incoming and active projects.
- Suggests operational improvements to enhance productivity to managers, supervisors, and employees.

Defines Shop Floor projects in collaboration with Shop Floor Supervisors. Providesprogress meetings for assigned projects.

Coordinates, at least once weekly, with customers and appropriate sales staff on assigned projects, and approves changes to projects via the salesperson and customer as required.

Discusses various projects with customers, technicians, and upper management when required and is responsible to meet project deadlines, solve issues, and clear discrepancy requirements to meet customer expectations and deadlines.

Monitors and maintains high levels of service to, and works closely with, all Wipaire divisions, management, departments, technicians, and support to meet internal & external customer expectations.

Oversees assigned project scheduling for materials & manpower levels for optimal service, including: vendor scheduling, project scope increases, project delays, customer communication, cost, and invoicing.
2.Performs service planning function for assigned projects.
- Works with Project Fulfillment Manager to coordinate with all services departments on assigned projects as required.

Maintains planning, in-process, delivery, and milestone schedules for assigned projects.

Coordinates with Project Fulfillment Manager and service department managers for all assigned projects to include scope creep delays, vendor support, manpower requirements, tooling requirements, and all critical delivery factors associated with assigned projects.

Coordinates with all associated Sales Representatives for all assigned project activities, schedule changes, delays, additional costs, invoicing, and customer communication.
3. Assists Wipaire customers with all service departments’ needs and questions.
- Provides assessment of customer needs.

Ensures all customer work scope is added to ERP system and communicated to Services departments.

Schedules various services projects/jobs with service department managers and the Project Fulfillment Manager.

Plans customer projects/jobs in advance, following service department calendars and schedules.

Manages assigned work scope as needed, in collaboration with any and all other work scopes required.

Calculates and projects job estimates, based on parts and materials costs, man hours, labor cost, outside services support, vendor requirements & costs, etc.

Enters all information in computer operating system(s) for record, review, analysis, and planning.
4. Maintains effective relationships with other divisions, management, staff, and departments to deliver high quality service to the organization.
- Through the Project Fulfillment Manager, responds to inquiries from the Director of Aircraft Services, CEO, President/COO and other Wipaire managers regarding Shop Floor results, special requests, etc.

Acts as consultant for Shared Services Department and Sales Department.

Identifies customer problems and issues.

Advises department staff regarding parts and products customers need.

Assists with assessments of maintenance and project needs.
5. Revises customer orders based on established discounts and Company practices.
- Responsible for auditing assigned sales orders and jobs for accuracy and ensuring sales orders are correct for billing.
- Performs billing and closeout functions of projects.
Experience and Skills:
-
Prior experience utilizing ERP systems in tracking business operations strongly preferred.

Prior project management experience strongly preferred.

Two to three years’ minimum management or leadership experience preferred.

Aircraft Mechanic and/or Aircraft Maintenance Operations experience desired. Relevant experience in lieu of desired requirement may be considered.

Willing to learn FAA certification processes, including parts, repair processes, drawings, and all applicable compliance requirements. Willing to learn other applicable local and state laws and regulations.

Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office, Excel. Able to learn and utilize manufacturers’ software and all available Wipaire software packages.
