U.S. Aviation Services, a part of United Service Companies, has an immediate opening for a Hawaii Airport Operations Manager. This position will oversee Cabin Services for Honolulu with opportunities to travel to the outer islands to observe and monitor stations. Managerial experience is required. The Hawaii Airport Operations Manager position reports to the local U.S. Aviation Director of Airport Operations and is the shift contact to our HNL airline partner, TSA, USPS, Customs, USDA, and other involved parties. This position is operational in nature; therefore, applicants will be required to work along side their agents in all capacities of station/agent duties.
Key Performance Measures may include but are not limited to:
- Airline safety knowledge of practicing "Safety First" always
- Shift/schedule understanding
- Operational flow knowledge (hourly/daily activity)
- Policy adherence (all regulatory and customer-issued)
- Safety Performance
- Be able to have flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends, holidays and overtime
- Be dependable with good work ethic
- Cabin Clean as well as conduct Auditing of our required scope of work.
- Develop and Manage Employees
- Represents Company in meeting with customers.
- Ensure proper safe cleaning practices are employed by staff in the performance of their duties.
- On-time Performance
- Properly Maintained Facility/Equipment/Staff
- Shift Hours Management
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Observing, developing and implementing shift improvements with fellow leaders regarding employee performance, attendance and compliance
- Monitoring supervisor coverage and shift schedules to ensure appropriate staffing.
- Ensuring shift activities are properly directed and coordinated.
- Leading, coaching and mentoring supervisors to do the same with their employees.
- Maintaining open and consistent communication with all shift employees
- Answering and/or following up with email/inquiries in a timely fashion
- Communicating with the next shift's Duty Manager regarding aircraft turnovers, janitorial and porter details.
- Ensuring all vehicles are properly provisioned, clean and ready for the next shift.
- Ensuring observations are being conducted daily for safety concerns.
- Monitoring and overseeing any issues as requested by leadership involving other agencies as needed, including but not limited to: TSA, FAA, emergency personnel, customers, postal officials, trucking companies and CBP.
- Conduct interviews, set applicants up for badging appointments, conduct terminations, and do disciplinary actions.
Job Requirements include but are not limited to:
- Being at least 18 years of age
- Being able to speak, read and write in English.
- Having a valid Driver's License
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
- Having excellent work ethic
- Having intermediate computer literacy
- Being physically fit to perform job duties including but not limited to standing, lifting, bending, pushing and pulling for extended periods of time.
- Repetitively handling up to 40 pounds in confined spaces and repetitively
- Working comfortably in close quarters of aircraft cabins
- Working outside in all weather conditions with exposure to loud noises and fumes
- Having flexibility for shift times as driven by airline arrival/departure times
- Completing within assigned time-frame and passing all training requirements
