Cardinal Health Corporate Business Aviation is responsible for delivering flight services to meet the needs of the organization, including safe and efficient operations and maintenance of the company's aircraft. Our flight crews operate corporate aircraft (Falcon 2000LXS and Embraer Praetor 500) in accordance with FAA and International regulatory requirements and company standard operating procedures.
The Captain is accountable to the Director of Aviation and is responsible for the safe, secure, and efficient experience of company personnel, customers, and guests during domestic and international travel. The Captain ensures compliance with all applicable regulations as well as the policies and procedures specified in the Flight Operations Manual. When not flying, additional collateral duty responsibilities will be assigned related to the needs of the aviation organization. Our Aviation Facility is based at the Don Scott Airport (KOSU) in Columbus, Ohio.
Responsibilities:

Assumes primary responsibility for the safety & security of the passengers, crew members, cargo, and the aircraft.

Directly responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft under FAR part 91 for each assigned flight.

Perform PIC duties in compliance with aircraft limitations, FAA and International Regulations, the Flight Operations Manual, and other company policies and procedures.

Directs the activities of the Second-in-Command, if applicable, ensuring that flight crewmembers understand fully and completely what duties they are expected to perform.

Complete and maintain FAA flight training on company aircraft and other assigned training requirements by the department and the company.

Conduct preflight and post flight inspections, aircraft is prepared for flight with all provisions on board for the safety and comfort of passengers.

Complete the proper planning of each flight utilizing all applicable weather information and reports in accordance with Company policies and procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).

Responsible for filing flight plans, ensuring aircraft weight and balance, fuel loading, aircraft performance considerations, and other operational requirements are all satisfied and within limits for each flight.

Responsible for evaluating weather conditions and NOTAMS at the departure, enroute, destination and alternate airports and making decisions necessary to start, delay or cancel flights and/or deviating from the planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate.

Position requires extensive travel, and the ability to be available to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays with the ability to adjust to schedule changes.

Maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient culture within the workplace and participating in the Safety Management System.

Maintain the highest level of professionalism and providing excellent customer service to passengers, other stakeholders.

Understand & report human factors and limitations as they relate to flight operations.

Assist in development of First Officers in all aspects of flight operations, procedures, and policies.

Perform other duties as outlined in the Company's Flight Operations Manual and other duties or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience, preferred.

Air Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with Multiengine and Instrument Ratings required.
-
4,000 hours total flight hours with 2,000 hours as Pilot in Command and 500 hours multi-engine turbine time experience, preferred.

Falcon 2000LXS or Embraer Praetor 500 type rating, preferred.

International Flight experience, preferred.

Ability to pass First Class Medical exam annually or as required by operational requirements.

Possess RVSM and High Altitude Endorsements; FCC Radio Operator License.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate effectively, interact with personnel at all levels and gain consensus from stakeholders and Senior leadership.

Possess a valid Passport and Driver’s License.

Familiarization with IS-BAO standards and experience operating in an operation with a Safety Management System, preferred.

Must live within 1 hour of Columbus, Ohio or be willing to relocate.

Approval from Cardinal Health’s insurance provider to maintain coverage as a pilot under the policy.

Capable of passing pre-employment and random drug tests as part of an ongoing program.

Strong collaboration skills; ability to operate effectively in a diverse environment.

Ability to travel and be flexible to schedule.
Anticipated salary range: $130,700 - $205,000
- The salary range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
