Join our client's team as a Lead Interior Mechanic at our MRO facility located at Kansas City International Airport. This pivotal role involves overseeing aircraft interior maintenance tasks to ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance. As a Lead Interior Mechanic, you will play a crucial part in mentoring and training team members, ensuring tasks are completed promptly and upholding high-quality standards in aircraft maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely completion of all maintenance tasks in compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Lead and approve maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alterations on aircraft interior components.
- Conduct crew meetings to communicate effectively on work, safety, and quality.
- Monitor and manage labor hours and materials effectively for assigned tasks.
- Mentor and develop the technical and leadership skills of mechanics.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety requirements.
- Collaborate with supervisors to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.
- Provide performance feedback, coaching, and training to team members.
Qualification Requirements:
- Previous leadership experience in commercial aircraft maintenance.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with large commercial aircraft interiors like Boeing and Airbus.
- Airframe or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using technical data and ordering parts.
- Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and safety standards.
