Dynamic FAA Part 145 Repair Station supporting multiple air carriers operating corporate aircraft. We are seeking a General Manager to join the management team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Reports to the FAR 145 General Manager
- Manage all aspects of the aircraft maintenance operation in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner by effectively reviewing, planning and assigning maintenance work, and maintaining appropriate systems and controls
- Work with the General Manager to ensure cost effective maintenance realizing reduce cost and efficiency.
- Manage partnerships and relations with the FAA & other regulatory agencies, Air Carriers, managed aircraft owners, suppliers/vendors and other stakeholders to improve processes, resolve relationship issues and achieve the goals established by each entity.
- Assist in providing customer estimates/quotes
- Ensure FAA compliance oversight of maintenance activities
- Ensure industry best practices are maintained in the course of aircraft maintenance
- Engage staff in professional manner to develop skill sets through training and mentoring
- Direct Reports will include Maintenance Supervisors
- Liaisons will include FAA Representatives, Director of Maintenance of Air Carriers, Flight Crews, Aircraft Owners and/or Representatives, at the direction of the general manager
- Staff on call supervisor rotation
Qualifications
- FAA Certificated A&P
- Pass FAA Drug & Alcohol screening
- Pass 10 Year Criminal Background Check
- Minimum 5 years management experience in a Part 145 Certified Repair Station aircraft maintenance facility
- Minimum 10 years aircraft maintenance experience
- Demonstrated experience of at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- On call availability for AOG situations
- Demonstrated attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and commitment to the organization
- Critical thinking and effective communication
- Master level or Journy man technical knowledge/experience of one or more of the fleet aircraft
- Familiarization or Type training on of one or more of the fleet aircraft desirables.
