DESCRIPTION:
G2 is looking for a candidate to fill an Operations Manager role at Miami International Airport (MIA). The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of Supervisory or Management Experience in a services industry (preferably contract services). This position would be ideal for a strong Supervisor looking to advance into an Operation’s Manager role. This role has a heavy emphasis on Ramp and Cabin Service as well as developing and maintaining positive client relationships.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Responsible for overall duties of the operation such as employee relations, counseling, terminations, client relations, FAA/TSA relations, training, payroll processing, client invoicing, PDA management and scheduling.
- Manage the day-to-day operations with primary responsibility over scheduling/staffing, managing daily budgeted hours, payroll and limiting overtime of the operation.
- Train/retrain all personnel in airline/airport procedures, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Maintain familiarity and compliance with state regulations regarding hiring and termination of personnel.
- Responsible for the scheduling of all airport employees insuring adequate coverage.
- Maintain good employee relations. Handle employee problems in an efficient and effective manner
- Client Relations – Effectively communicate with senior airline management and project a positive image in responding to inquiries from airlines, staff and the public.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achievement of company objectives.
- Ensure implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Implement safety plan for station
- Maintain Quality Assurance oversight for operational issues relating to performance and safety, providing suitable corrective and/or preventative actions where necessary
- Perform other duties as requested.
REQUIREMENTS:
Motivated leaders who are willing to roll-up their sleeves and work alongside the employees
- At least 2 years of progressive supervisory or management experience
- Operations, Airline or Hospitality experience required.
- Working knowledge of financial reports and budgets
- Willingness and ability to relocate if currently living outside the BDL area.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong computer skills; Word, Excel, data entry skills
- Flexibility, multitasking and experience working in a changing environment.
