ResponsibilitiesThe Finance Analyst performs invoice processing procedures. Supports the Division Controller by identifying invoice concept and coding to the appropriate account. Assigns routing of invoice approval based on approved chart of authority. Ensures accuracy of invoice information and follow-up throughout invoice routing to ensure timely processing.
- Invoice Processing: Prepare and analyze invoices to identify service rendered. Input invoice into financial system and code to appropriate cost center and G/L account. Select correct approval routing based on company-approved hierarchy.
- Internal Controls: Evaluate and monitor operational costs and statistics to ensure these are in line with company standards.
- Expense Accounting: Verify each invoice concept for accuracy and ensure rates and charges are valid by comparing against budget plan data. Flag any variations for Division Controller or Cost Center Owner to validate. Maintain database of monthly fixed contractual rent obligations and initiate approval for payment by deadline. Create self-invoices based upon budget rate data and reports generated by General Managers.
- Liaison: Act as channel of communication between Division Controller and Accounts Payable in matters such as payment status. Provide status updates to business unit leaders.
- Support: Assist management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, and making presentations of findings, analysis, and recommendations. Research budget variance root causes as relates to invoices.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs, or technical developments).
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience.
- Ability to work under pressure and ensure accuracy while meeting rigid deadlines.
- Must be able to work well with others in a dynamic team environment.
- Job function entails long hours working at a desk on a computer.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations with fares.
- Provide regular and ad hoc pricing analysis.
- Collaborate with Revenue Management to develop and implement price strategies including segment strategies for assigned markets.
- Implement sales and fare structures in Spirit’s internal pricing system and ATPCO systems.
- Analyze market dynamics, pricing trending, and market opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including ad hoc analysis on methods to optimize price through market and pricing strategies.
