We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Ramp Operations Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of ramp operations, including aircraft loading, unloading, and catering service delivery, to ensure efficient and on-time performance while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the ramp operations team, including ramp supervisors, loaders, drivers, and other personnel. Set performance expectations, provide training and development opportunities, and ensure a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Operational Planning: Develop and implement operational plans and schedules to meet airline flight schedules and catering requirements. Coordinate with airline representatives, airport authorities, and other stakeholders to optimize resources and minimize delays.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards related to ramp operations. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of product quality and service delivery throughout the ramp operations process. Implement quality control measures, conduct inspections of catering equipment and supplies, and address any issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Resource Management: Manage staffing levels, equipment, and resources effectively to meet operational demands while controlling costs. Coordinate with maintenance and logistics teams to ensure the availability and proper maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational excellence. Analyze data trends and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Customer Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with airline customers, airport authorities, and other stakeholders. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally, striving to exceed expectations and foster long-term partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Background in aviation management, business administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience in airline or aviation ground operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of ramp operations, including aircraft loading procedures, catering services, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve common goals.
- Proven track record of driving operational efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Sound decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and aviation industry software systems.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by operational needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $77,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
